Host an International Exchange Student

We are thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity to open your home and heart to an international student for the 2026-2027 school year. MHPSD is excited to welcome a number of students from countries such as Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Japan who are eager to experience life in Medicine Hat and immerse themselves in Canadian culture. We are looking for families like yours to join this rewarding journey by hosting one of these exceptional students. Students typically stay for three months, five months, or the entire school year.

Hosting an international student is an enriching experience that brings numerous benefits for your family:

Starting in the 2026-2027 school year host families will receive a monthly stipend of $1025. We are here to support you every step of the way.
