Physical Education - 10
Hub Virtual school is excited to offer Physical Education – 10 (PE-10) to students across Alberta. This self paced, flexible online course allows students to access instructional materials through our online portal. Weekly activity and logs need to be submitted to a teacher along with some video assignments.
The aim of PE-10 is to enable all students to develop knowledge, movement skills, and positive attitudes and behaviours which contribute to a healthy, active lifestyle. PE-10 will expose students to a variety of activities which contribute to developing positive daily routines and appeal to a diversity of different interests. Physical education makes an important contribution to the overall education of Alberta students and contributes to the development of positive personal and social behaviours, enhancing students’ academic success.
PE-10 is offered in both 3 and 5 credit course options. Prior to the start of the fall semester, school staff will reach out to registered students to identify how many credits they would like to take and to develop a plan for course completion. We are excited to work with students in Alberta to complete this graduation requirement and provide overall support along their high school journey.
