Nathan Gale appointed as Vice Principal Role at Dr. Roy Wilson Learning Centre
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Gale as Vice‑Principal of Dr. Roy Wilson Learning Centre, starting in the 2026-2027 school year. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and a Master of Education in Leadership and Administration from Gonzaga University.
Nathan brings a broad range of experience in both classroom teaching and school leadership. He began his career at Crestwood School in 2012 as a Grade 5 teacher before moving into a similar role at Dr. Roy Wilson Learning Centre. In 2020, Nathan transitioned into leadership, joining Hub Virtual School and Pathways as a Classroom Support Teacher. He continued to advance along the leadership pathway, stepping into the role of Vice‑Principal in 2022 and Principal in 2023. As a key contributor to building Hub Virtual School from the ground up, Nathan has led the adaptation of programming to meet the continually evolving needs of students and staff.
Since the inception of Hub Virtual School, Nathan has supported a dynamic and vibrant learning community that spans the entire province of Alberta. Through his work supporting student programming, teacher collaboration, mentorship, and inclusive practices across multiple alternative learning environments, he brings a strong foundation to his appointment as Vice‑Principal of Dr. Roy Wilson Learning Centre.
With a leadership philosophy grounded in relationships, collaboration, and continuous growth, his approach is centered on building trust, fostering innovation, and supporting meaningful professional growth. Reflecting on his approach to leadership, He shared, “My beliefs about school leadership revolve around the importance of creating meaningful relationships with staff to foster a culture of caring, trust, and innovation while maintaining high expectations and accountability for teacher growth.”
