Junior Chess Tournament | April 25
SATURDAY, April 25 | The Medicine Hat Chess Club (MCC) in partnership with Crescent Heights High School (CHHS), will be holding the 34th Annual SPRING Medicine Hat and Area JUNIOR Chess Tournament. There are four main divisions:
- Senior High School division for high school students (grades 10 - 12)
- Junior High School division for junior high school students (grades 7 - 9)
- Elementary School - grades 5 & 6
- Elementary School - grades 1 - 4
Depending on the number of registrants, there may be "grade specific" sub-divisions.
Pre-registration is encouraged and preferred.

Both the completed registration form and the $25 entry fee need to be submitted to Mrs. Strickland, at Crescent Heights High School for the registration to be complete. The $25 entry fee is payable by cheque (made out to Medicine Hat Chess Club) or exact cash. You can drop of the completed registration form and the $25 entry fee at the Crescent Heights High School Main office at 1201 Division Ave. N. Unfortunately E-transfers and online payment cannot be accommodated at this time. Because registration fees cannot be paid via fax or e-mail early registrants who do not pay with their entry fee will be contacted so that they have the opportunity to pay before the tournament is filled.
Walk-up entries will be accepted until 0950 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 (space and time permitting to a maximum of 100 entries.

Location: Cafeteria at CHHS (1201 Division Ave. N.)
Registration: 9 a.m. - 9:50 a.m. April 25**) Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.

| LUNCH | 12 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. Pizza, juice, and a Dilly Bar will be provided for lunch (your entry fee pays for this). |

| Round 5 | 1:10 p.m. |
| Awards Presentations | 2:00 p.m. or immediately after the last game is completed. |
| ** Round 2 and subsequent rounds will be started ASAP after the completion of the previous round. The trophies and prizes are paid for by the Medicine Hat Chess Club. | |
